Our local supermarket had ' armed security ' untill someone actually fired his ( male ) pistol. Like a limp cracker , possibly a 22 calibre. No big bang to make us ' shake in our boot's. A four wheel trike is a quad bike & just as dangerous!. Lots of farm hands were lost to those quads . And ny daughter is having a great time on them . I am certainly not going to watch. spacesailor

My daughter in Dubbo has had a great time riding 'quads ' . Her youngest son got second in His motorcycle race . So enjoying riding different types . Also still repairing Harley Davison bikes . & still works at the motorbike shop . spacesailor

We , ( on the Blue mountains ) were waved on by the ' traffic police ' , because only 4wd Vehicles could navigate the detour, through a flooded road . The rest of the vehicles had to wait hours, before that road was reopened. We watched it on the TV news , after getting home , So if a competent vehicle can ' safely ' navigate a flooded road . Why penalise that driver ! . Who knows , it could be an ses volunteer getting to a larger emergency, rather than a couple of feet of water . My ' deepest ' creek crossing was to the bottom of the windscreen, Towing a heavy rope , to be used for a stranded vehicle recovery . Holden's were just as bad . A work colleague bought a brand new H Q Kingswood . At the dealer's , he slammed the door shut and both the window winder & door handle fell onto his lap !. The dealer had to open the driver door to let him catch a taxi, at their expense . My 'old ' Holden had " reciprocating ball bearings" in the steering box ! . That left a ' lot of play ' in the steering wheel. And those five stud wheels had four studs to hold the wheel to the hub assembly. spacesailor
