  1. The ' same ' as aircraft, car , & tree lovers . They are transport. I know of one ( moronic ) male , who wouldn't get a house mortgage. Then went heavily into depth for his . V8 police pursuit Commadore. HE ( I BELIEVE ) is now single . Someone else is rearing his six kids . spacesailor
  2. Has that shifter got the " King Dick " brand name . Someone is asking $100 for theirs . spacesailor
  3. Looks like a " Dick " . But too plain to be a " Dick " . spacesailor
  4. Walking on water. That's a miracle. Unless frozen solid . But now you can ride a motorcycle on water spacesailor
  5. Don't be a ' Galah ' . spzcesailor
  6. Australia has the raw materials, that we export . Our manufacturer's have to buy those same materials back ( at inflated prices ) to build aluminium ' tail wheels ' for our " general aviation " that are hit with exorbitant overseas pricing. Our government will never help to lower prices .& lessen their GST coffer fillers. Has anyone priced a billet of aluminium from Gladstone Queensland. Then figured the number of said wheels per billet . spacesailor PS. : one (state) refused to join that federation. Western Australia in , who was out .
  7. The first picture has a " drag-strip " on it . spacesailor
  8. if, your Hilux was automated, would it have given you the satisfaction of telling him , he needs to learn to drive properly . spacesailor PS : my son in law would have punched him out ,& dam the consequences.
  9. you are correct , that's why I didn't use quotations. Just my memory of the words spoken . ( he was a bit arrogant & insisted I pull money from thin air ). spacesailor
  10. Are they " Hamlton " jets .They had the patent rights . But the Chinese seem to get around those, easily. spacesailor
  11. Sydney has had quite a bit , slowed down to showers now . Why can't Sydney driver's learn to drive when it rains ? . spacesailor
  12. That happened in Parramatta. A ' skyscraper ' built either side of someone's house . No sunshine in their garden . spacesailor
  13. Still , not better than the Sydney Toaster . spacesailor
  14. Sleeping is good. Your body recovers & heals itself, when warm & cosy, hibernating. spacesailor
  15. All motor ' drivers ' should ' , carry cash ( as happened to me ) when the servos ATM goes down & you walk in to pay , only to be told " no EFT " ,. I was short in cash for the bill & they couldn't take the fuel out of my vehicle , 'they' called the police who told them ' no sign ' , their fault, saved a few dollars for me . But still embarrassing. spacesailor
  16. That is my way of seeing it . But if you think a couple of $,grand , is what your $ 100,000 ride is all it's worth . Take their pittance. They ( Insurance companies ) need those 'second hand Panels & parts , for the repairs to the RWO , they do repair cheaply, at great expense. ( no new parts in ' your ' well loved ride ). spacesailor
  17. Again . The same " Whakatane Board Mills " , lost one of it's workers one night . The following day they found the previous nights production were a very ' orangey ' colour, and samples were taken for '' DNA " analysis. Missing worker found ! . spacesailor
  18. I enjoyed reading about the " board " making plant in nz . ' one hot night ' , the workers opened the skylights , Which let a huge swarm of moths in, and onto the boards being made . The boards were Finnished with an exceptional " moth patern . That was an immediate hit with their customers. spacesailor
  19. No necessarily. If you know the outcome, why take a few $ thou insurance on your $ 100,000 car that for a little more than , a few years insurance premiums, will give your upgraded ride back. A bent boot would be a " write-off ", not a happy return for that insurance , but $2,000 , would be an easy Backyard repair job . Forgo the insurance pittance. And have your ride , untill you finally kill the poor thing, with your bad driving . spacesailor
  20. well beyond my knowledge. Still a simple + ( plus ), - ( minus ), ÷ ( divide), and ( multiply ) . No ' sines/ cosines ' . Or any higher education. spacesailor
  21. $ 6,000 for a pair of original car lights is good news for anyone thats good at " chop-shop " , facelift for that " individual " looking car . spacesailor
  22. Y X c . Has never made any sense to me. Those letters could have any meaning to any different person reading it . spacesailor
  23. Gumtree was 'bought-out by Facebook-meta . So is being shut down slowly ,( possibly a writeoff tax dodge ). spacesailor
  24. Never use a card outside of the one & only Aldi Supermarket . When first arrived in Australia I rang the Parramatta " Woolworth " , to check if I could pay with Thomas Cooks travelltr's cheque . The answer was " yes " . Two full trolley's later the cheque-out girl declined our money . so left those two full trolleys of groceries at the counter . Then went elsewhere. ( possibly Franklin's (black&gold ? ) . spacesailor
  25. Please don't kill us off just yet . Without being able to spend our ' pension ' cash , we will probably die wealthy by starvation. spacesailor
