For once I agree, That's a shit decision but has nothing really to do with wokeness. More pandering to a community religious grouping, which should never happen. We should either rename to a traditional indigenous place name/ person or to honour a Australian that beyond reproach ie not a politician or mate.

Could be a big scam. However in the future, lots of deals like this will become available. Perfect for converting old cars or even better making big boats electric or hybrid.

Yes, Valentino Rossi was still yet to win a GP back then. It was to get to the Grand prix overnight as the suicidal Ducati had died mid corner and left me stranded. So I returned to Sydney and took the Fairmont with V8. The GP ended as a washout that year, real happy to camp with a car on the end.

Roma, the perfect Italian tomatoes. Perfection for cooking and lots of flavour. Not so much for burgers or sandwiches.

Well done Spenaroo. Nice fast restoration. The availability of lots of cheap jetskis makes jet boats easy. If you want more speed just add a bigger bucket of jet ski motor. 250hp anyone?

True, But on a hot 🔥 day the bitumen is 50 C or more and riding is like sitting Infront of a giant heat gun. Add heavy traffic in the concrete jungle and it's bloody hot and sucking hot exhaust fumes. Add proper riding gear and it's easy to cook yourself. Big jap fours also tend to pump the heat onto the rider behind the fairing. Rider comfort seems a low priority for some makes. The BMW bikes normally have vents to direct the air for comfort cooling or warming when needed. At least on the water I get a nice cooling effect when the wind blows. Having said this- any donations of European registered bikes will be greatly appreciated.

Katter jnr is a major gun importer and seller. He believes in the right to have a machine gun but no rights for women's bodies. Very much a trumpian

The biggest problem with the NACC is labour caved in and knackered it.

Go to their base tree- their home and offer them some raw chicken bits. Just make sure they are at home and see it's you feeding them. They will quickly make friends.

Rebuilding the houseboat deck- zoro's fishing spot.

No peas allowed on my plate, ever. I am on large warfarin doses 7mg min. Peas wreck the levels plus taste crap. Had a bad cold/man flue for last week or so and thus the deck is yet to be finished off. It's safe but the lazy sickly salt chippy is hard to motivate- that would be me. Rain for rest of week so weekend return to tools. -

I think managing the "cranks" of the anti EV brigade is a bigger priority.

It's all good, I check all body bits before cutting and after A general Reno category would be good to keep it easy to find. The big challenge I will have, is after the deck, I need to add more floatation to the rear as the house sits low at the back by 6 inches. That will be a diving job, more fun. -

After slashing my hand on Thursday, my RN friend banned me from working yesterday and the weather was crap. Today was mostly sunny with quickly passing showers so it was game on. Naturally 5 mins in , my hand split open and bleed on the job everywhere. After a quick application of more Steristrips (acts as stitches), I was bandaged and good to go with refusal of medical advice, I got stuck in. So here is the progress shots. I have braced and sistered all the wood beams after removing the rotted sections. The corner must take the load of a large cleat to tie the boat to a dock, it must be strong enough to tow slowly. I will add some extra bracing pieces Monday, throw in some paint to protect the works, then put down the new boards. The post holding up the roof was basically free floating as a previous actual carpenter imbecile ( not this salt chippy) had removed 80% of its base when installing it. It's now fully strong and bracketed with 150mm bugle screws holding it firm to all the timbers including a sister piece. I can now bounce up and down on the corner and it's rock solid. With a few more infill beams added then the boards screwed in, it will be finally shipshape in that area. All the fasteners are stainless marine grade, an absolute must on a boat. No nails as they become a nightmare for inspection or repairs. Many of the boards were fine but split when pulled up- I hate nails. The fun part is having to screw 150mm bugle screws in from the outside. For the sides, I had to push the boat away from the dock then drive the screw in as the boat floats back into the dock. Working on water adds challenges but it's fun. -
BOAT...bring out another thousand

Good to see I am not alone in the water loving disease. Looks like great fun.
