There is no law requiring an MP live in the constituency they represent, nor is there an issue with someone moving house. 

 

But, here is the AI view of the world of Victorian MPs. 

Interestingly, as in the UK, there appears to be an expectation that the <P does live in their constituency. Though I do wonder how a premier or senior cabinet minister can spare the time t represent their constituency in the same way as a back-bencher, so not sure it matters that much where they live. But, I would guess the coalition and Greens (and I guess, any independents that may be in Vic) do see it as very important. 

 

At the leadership level, maybe we should be concerned about her policies, integrity (personal and government), and her (and her team's) ability to execute.  Shall we use this thread as a discussion in the run up to the Vic election in November?

Isn't a Local Member supposed to be local so that they are sensitive to the matters importnat to that electorate?

The surveys are saying she is likely to lose Bendigo to Andrew Lethlean. I met him on Saturday, he is an impressive alternative.
