I've thought about it many times. It's a bad practice because the overseas beneficiaries of the money inadvertently acquire a distorted sense of their own value and worth. They'll always expect a handout and think it's their human right, perhaps traveling for family reunions here in OZ. Or for trickle donations to foreign terrorist organizations. Australia is $2Trillion in debt at present (Fed and States), how are we going to pay that off? - that's another important question. We need to keep as much money here as possible to build the economy. Halving the amount of remittance sent overseas would be a good move. Govt's can put a lower cap on it. Hanson would, that's why she's there. The major parties won't, they're too internationalist, looking after everyone except Australia.

For every billion sent in the form of remittance, a billion less should be sent in the form of Foreign Aid.

That's a pretty gloomy message, what do you propose should be done about it? We can't stop the weather, or change it much, just cloud seed to make some rain, that's about all. If there are any clouds.

Commercial jets still use up oxygen and spew out pollution ... so Bowen and Albo are frauds.
-
Commercial jets ... do you know there's no less than two thousand in the air at any given time in the world, using up oxygen and spewing out pollution. Chris Bowen needs to realize that every time a plane full of immigrants lands in OZ, and every time Airbus Albo hops on a jet to go embrace his overseas socialist mates on "official" business.

Chewed houses have lower value. I bought some epoxy putty to cover the chewed areas. I know, that's why I'm complaining about them. They need a sizable cull.

My rates went up 30% this year, out here in the bush would you believe. Nearly a thousand dollars a year and we're still driving on dusty dirt roads in my village. And kangaroos are in plague proportions. Cockatoos gnaw the wooden parts of my house. I'm charged for sewage, but I don't have sewage - go figure. My land is zoned Commercial and Residential at the same time - go figure again.

The ALP and the Coalition have seen better days, they've been at it since 1901. It's time for a change. Voting on the issues would be more productive. Candidates would be voted in to form a committee to work on the issues that voters voted on and see as priorities. The Committee will be disallowed from changing those priorities. Directly work for the people in other words, and cut out all the political mud slinging and self interest.

SBS should be sued for their show "Go back to where you came from" ... they could have named it something else entirely. They inflamed the national debate, inciting and provoking racism for their own ends - stirring the pot, and knew they'd get away with it. Both the ABC and SBS need to be defunded until they come to their senses, then a stronger watchdog to keep them in check.

You'd be surprised how many people, including Aboriginals, who don't want so many Asians here. An Aboriginal I spoke to in the early eighties said he wanted neither Asians nor black Africans in Australia. People are voting like this now, and O.N. is benefiting.

Would an EV pull a heavy laden box trailer up hill do you think? Would there be enough torque from the electric motor?

Become an *Islamic* republic perhaps? Gotta watch these muslims, they'll do anything to further their cause for Allah. Mehreen Faruqi didn't think things through before she opened her gob. If she got all the things she wanted, expressed in her "school kid" statement, she'd still be living on "stolen" land ... so, would she go live somewhere else and leave the Aboriginals in peace? ... not likely, she'd probably pretend to be their saviour and advise them of the virtues of Islam. God willing.

He said he won't be a Dan Andrews or a Jacinta Allan ... Crikey, great endorsement for his own party. That won't go down well with far-left Albanese & Co

What sort of heater do you use, and how long can you run it for on a cold day?
-
Can you blokes afford your power bills, or do you sit in the dark well wrapped up in the Winter?
-
I'm still waiting for my $275 reduction in my power bill, how many years has it been now? When's Albo going to make good his promise?, or was it Abbott?, someone said it, rotten major party politicians.
-
What's wrong with that? Albanese should do the same and spend the savings on infrastructure here in rural and regional Australia.
-
Y'all missing the point. There's thousands of potential O.N. voters out here just waiting for their next chance to vote.
-
It's amazing, there's been no further power outages here since One Nation won that Fed seat a little while ago. I'm not even in that seat. Not only that, I've received a Notice of Disruption due to maintenance where as before there was no notices, power went off for 6 hours and that was it. The Independent here must be scared stiff of O.N.

My Dad had one also, it was his first rangefinder camera after trying to use an old clapped out bakelite camera that someone must have given him. He took lots of family photos with the Neoca during the 1950s. In his latter years he gave me all the negatives which I still have, stored safely. He developed them himself and they look pretty good. Unfortunately Dad's Neoca was stolen, so, for nostalgia, I bought one as part of my collection, and also as a bit of family memorabilia.

Poppycock Jerry. Traditional Aussies out here in rural Australia are peaceful and law abiding, that's something all new immigrants can learn regarding integration, they won't learn in the idiot major cities. New immigrants should live a stint in the bush before they live in a city. Civilized camps could be constructed to house them in suitable locations. They'd get an education on Aussie values, manners, assisting the elderly without hesitation, friendliness, community co-operation and awareness, respect for wildlife, helping out in bush fire emergencies if any, ready to road assist for vehicle breakdowns, sharing information to bring neighbors up to speed on anything you think they need to know about, respect for other's property and privacy. I'm tied of reading that Aussies commit more crime than immigrants - the books are cooked to favor the far-left narrative. Do you have a mind of your own? The larger the town or city, the more crime there is, never mind who commits it, it needs to be stamped out. We could start with home invasions, then drug dealing, then arson. Why is it that the big cities keep tolerating these crimes? Is it to keep the police employed, or to give politicians something to condemn in front of TV cameras, silently saying "vote for me and my party"?

It might have been a case of "use it, or lose it". Once Cook had planted the Union Jack in 1770, with the French hot on his tail, the Poms may have decided to get a fleet together, regardless of cost, and establish a settlement to consolidate the claim. In respect to that, overcrowding in the Mother Land may not have been the only reason for transportation of convicts to NSW. There were more than just convicts too, in the first fleet, there were hundreds of sailors, soldiers, and families. They made up about one third of the total on board.
-
We already know Cook observed Venus in Tahiti as a guise to setting out to the Great Southern Land to claim it for England. The "politics" was evident even then. So it shouldn't be surprising that politics played it's part in the transportation of convicts to a far away land. We also know the French were cruising off the East Coast at the time. Is "politics" the right word? It seems like "land grab" is more appropriate. I just wish the Poms had not depleted Australia of all the Red Cedar trees, there was none left for repairing antique Cedar furniture in the 1900s when I was dabbling in selling old furniture.
-
My Irish Great Great Great Grandfather probably knew all about that, in the 1830s. He was transported to the Great Southern Land and slaved till he was made a free man in 1850. He proceeded to the Parramatta Female Factory to choose a partner, then acquired some land in Cooma NSW. The rest is history. Offspring are everywhere on the East Coast and inland. A few became famous ... even me, I discovered the Feast and Famine Variable.

The Fed govt said there'll be no US bases in Australia ... but look what we've got now, thousands of Yanks and their military equipment stationed up north. Or does every one of them piss off at the end of a joint training exercise? I don't think so.
