  1. The last part is good comment. You wouldn't want to ingest it.

On a lighter note I have long been told /"Life is like a $h1T sandwich The more bread you have the less $h1T you have to eat. That's probably a % thing. Nev

  2. We are all different. I tend to be ready for the bad outcome and pleased when it doesn't happen. It's not realistic to expect everything to go well ( not saying YOU do). Everyone I know goes thru $h1t sometimes and it can seem endless. There is always someone worse off, if you look hard enough. Nev

  3. Life is a bit harder in NZ. That's why so many of them come here. There's not enough of them left over there to pay for roads , bridges airports etc The thing that got me last time was having to pay to leave Christchurch. I didn't damage it . It did it to itself. After I left.

Any how they have those sort of taxes here too.

English history? I thought England WAS history. Rockets . They are what you get when you do something wrong. As for yours, wouldn't where they go be more important than where they come from? Nev

  4. Mainlanders is the proper term, for Taswegians to refer to the rest of Oz. Northislanders will never catch on. Big, "main" is easy. North is hard cause it is not as easy to work out and not everyone knows where it is. Anyhow Kiwiland got it first. They know what north and south means. Clever bu88ers, punching above their weight.. Nev

  5. In response to what'll it be? or what'll ya have? A beer thanks, sounds reasonable to me. Usually the guy behind the bar or waiter asks what you want. I guess if you go and ASK for something, you would say, "please". It is really quite civil.

The french word "demander" Spelling? sounds pushy. S' il vous plait seems excessively qualifying..Nev

  6. Not so hot in Canberra in the winter. It gets the worst of both ends. Qld is lovely in winter, but Cairms rains so hard at times, you wonder how the plane can fly in it. Everything goes mouldy. Love the gecko's on the roof, just like PNG.. Darwin has the most steady temperature and the best lightning and thunder at the beginning of the wet. Why do Queenslanders blame the southerners? They bring all their cash up there and spend it developing the place and mucking it up. You guys are the ones who do the planning, ( or should be doing the planning) instead of going into the coal mining game. The average Victorian hasn't got enough spare cash to go north. Anyhow MOST I know have returned . Might be the hospitals.

Anyhow don't the states have funny names? QUEEN'S land. Wow! NEW South Wales. WESTERN Australia. That's better it IS a bit like a WESTERN ( without the indians) South Australia. Well amazing description. How inspiring!. Victoria. Well SHE has been dead so long most wouldn't know who she was.. Surely we could come up with better. Nev

  7. Tasmanians Tassie devils are not welcoming to "mainlanders". They must be doing things they want to keep to themselves. Among themselves they seem to smile a lot, so it must be fun. Most of them are descended from about 4 families, if you go back far enough. I think they keep warm by cuddling, but not with strangers, unless no-ones watching. I have travelled there many times and it's a great piece of real estate..Nev

  8. A agree about the banks. They are BAD!!.

Mexico is hotter than the USA. Qld is hotter than NSW. The REASON in both cases is that both are closer to the equator which is where the SUN is right above your head on average. It's so warm (HOT) in these places that you don't need clothes and you ge ta good tan if you are not carefull skin cancer too. a six pack buys anything.

In colder climates things are tougher. People have to use their minds to keep warm (wear clothes) and co-operate with each other find better caves and make heat and shovels to move snow. Fire water to drink. It's a great challenge. Not everyone is up to it. No-one listens to Alan Jones here, so you have to work it all out for yourself. Nev

  9. Shooting the messenger rather than advancing the argument. The "nice easy simplistic context" is an appropriate description though. Nice if it was that way. This is a "gripe" thread still.? I'm trying to get the gist of it. Nev

  10. Mexicans come from a hotter country nearer the equator ( LIKE Queensland) North gets colder in the northern hemsphere. but it's the reverse in the southern hemisphere where We are......Everyone seems to be coming here. This is the fastest growing place in australia. You can have as many as you want. Nev
