  1. Twisty chassis and  thirsty motor especially  the emmissions models. Would always have some cult following though. Not that hard to rust proof if you're serious. Not a lot of plastic parts to go brittle in the sun. I always fancied the dual cab one( Lario.) and the injected cast iron motor . Nev

  2. The "Bronzed Aussie" idea never turned me on . Always joking about someone or other in a "Put-down" way. Sheila's wouldn't have a clue,  They're inferior

IF you were different in any way, you'd better be thick skinned. TOO Blokey for me. Luckily I couldn't give a tuppeny stuff. I was also pretty fit as we had no car. I don't recall being physically bullied ever. Must have been lucky. I hear it happens often and it stinks.  Nev

  3. Quite clearly as a higher % of vehicles becomes electric powered the road costs will have to be recovered in a different way and the amount you use the roads should be part of it and the vehicles mass,. Any legal aspect of the "supposed" ANDREWS hit would easily be settled in a court and I doubt it's authenticity especially if you read it in the Herald Sun,'.  Nev

  4. I agree that UTES are not that practical in many ways. Since the early 70's I've always had a VAN. In a duaL Cab ute there's no room for anything if you have four people in it. The triton is good value for what it is. Most of these utes have the rear wheels too far forward to tow well.   Nev

  5. Plenty of the youth are pretty directionless. If you find one with ability you still need to be sure the COMMITMENT is there  to make the investment of time and effort worthwhile. I came to Victoria in 1965 and even though it's almost compulsory the attraction of fanatical Football of any kind doesn't appeal to me. I'm more of a loner and prefer to make or fix something where you can SEE some result for your efforts.   Nev

  6. Plenty of doctors jump to conclusions with their diagnosis, The worst ones I've met were not Asian. The Chinese I've been involved with are exceptionally Diligent and great to relate to..They do well because they study hard.   Nev

  7. I don't subscribe to the concept of "original SIN" either. Nurturing grudges isn't productive. What's happening now is what matters. ALL men are presumed equal, hopefully.. In an ideal world. Good starting point anyhow.   This was sitting from earlier. but still managed to send it. Nev

  8. We have a "Queens"land in Australia but Sydney makes the Most from it. Aren't the   State Names pathetic? What IS a TAS mania.? West Australia How inspiring!. Victoria named after a Queen. NEW South Wales. How long will it be NEW?   Nev.

  9. I got my fifth Covid inoculation about a week ago. Still haven't caught it. It's becoming unusual to not have had it.. No reaction to the shot.    Nev

  10. Yes Howard's electorate, wasn't it. Too many Black armbands? Sinney's overcapitalised and politicised. There's the East (Coastal and some of the harbourside) and the neglected rest in the west and southwest.   Some of the best geography in the world and becoming unfit for Human habitation Fast .    Nev
