Not true. I drive my " tiptronic " automatic Pajero like a manual ! . Why ?, short occasional runs leaves the battery a little less charged each time , changing to lower-gear gives a little more charge . so smarty uses the gears to slow-down , to navigate roundabouts . & Roll to the stop-light , without using those nice new brake ' shoes ' & Disk-pads I replaced this year . spacesailor

I have the chance of a 2015 Tesla 85 Sd , one owner with high ks 210,00 , ( Newcastle to Sydney commute ) . Immaculate condition. Every one around me say no . Too old at ten years , & the battery could fail in a few years. No way could I afford a newer " up- market " electric car . So, I leave the money for the " kids inheritance " . I'm going to look at a 2015 Tesla S 85d . Alwheel drive , with " don't run over the peasants " technology. At my age I need all the help I can get . Ten years old . And free " supercharge " on this model. ( not on yours of course ) . Just looking at my 1st pev . It's hard to find were the supercharge stations are , as most seem to be in the CBD .
