Vigorously attack the country where the threat comes from and carpet bomb the civil population without regard to who are extremists and who are not, while rounding up anyone in your own country and putting them behind barbed wire for the duration.

There are lots of kids hanging around the streets of country towns and self-described artists who seem to live OK in our high cost society at present. I would gladly pay $10 to $15 an hour for them to prune trees and do other tasks on the property and it would be extra money for them, money they would not otherwise have. But I would be breaking the law.

The people working for what we consider low wages are very very grateful for those jobs.

Just recently a Chinese documentary film crew happened to be visiting our field and they wanted to film my takeoff as I was the only plane flying. I explained exactly what I would be doing then backtracked and turned around, to find that three of them had set up tripods in the middle of the runway about three quarters of the way down. I thought about it for a moment then took off, and was probably 200 feet above them when I got there. I reckoned that they knew I was coming and if I had to abort they would dive for cover. There was a lot more runway than I needed and it was no different than if they had been beyond the end fence on a shorter runway. I hope they weren't disappointed with the lack of dramatic footage.

I bought a DT1-F new, the same year as your RT1. My son still has it. He got rid of HIS RT1 last week end. Has a Rotax engined ATK that he vintage races. Rare and nice.The truck . Is it a 1931 Chev six? and the cream 4 door car,, 1926 four? 250 Royal Enfield SV...1936? Nev

At present I am going to restore the truck mechanically but leave it looking much tha same. The wood cabin frame has to be rebuilt with new wood but I will put the metal back on rusty. I think they call it patina.

As an off topic thread, how about pics of some of our non-aviation toys? This is not intended as a brag list or to show how many $$$ you might have. I hope this is a good idea, I have just enjoyed a bottle of Barossa's best.

To show how this is not about $$$, the Ariel and Enfield I bought 40 years ago for less than $100 each, then I fixed them up and still have them despite a divorce settlement 25 years ago. The Yamaha is a 1971 classic, I bought one new for $650. The two Riley Elfs came and went a decade ago. The Chev tourer was a restoration project when I was a young bloke, long since sold. The Chev truck is my latest project, I spent today working on the wheels.

There has been a facebook post going around for the last 12 months or so with a photo of an attractive blonde female school teacher who had allegedly had sex with a 16 year old male school boy. She ended up in jail, bloody hell, it is every 16 years olds dream to tap a nice looking school teacher.

In the last year of high school we boys resented the young teachers taking our girls out, we thought it was unfair competition. But I still think there was nothing wrong with it, there was only thre or four years age difference.

I just tried to update a Windows item. I got the message installation failed, will retry in 3473457 minutes, which I calculate to be about 6.6 years. I don't think we will have driverless cars any time soon.

About half the NDBs and VORs in Oz are being shut down this year, next month I think. Bendigo NDB was still operating yesterday when I flew in but there is earthwork going on around it, I think they are building a wetland to attract birds to the runway.
