That is exactly what I believe will happen.

I believe that power can be defined as our conscience. 5. I believe that it (our conscience) comes from our ancestors and those who have taught and defined us. 6. So my gods are my ancestors. Just wondering if any of those so called christians think this makes me an atheist or a bad person. Am I going to burn in hell or will I simply be buried and rot away?

No it is not a right and it is not why our ancestors fought and died. In fact even though I do not profess to know the minds of our ancestors, I do believe I understand the mentality of several generations of ex servicemen through my interest in them. I believe most of our ancestors fought and died on foreign soils so that we would have the right to chose. But this is possibly a conversation for another thread among people willing to discuss rather than state BS to make a point.

As much as I would like to I can't claim ownership of that statement, but I do agree with it.

The problem is we haave two groups in this country. Those work to earn a living, and those who vote to earn a living. While the second group outnumber the first group debt can only go up.

An interesting video. I have watched this many times. Very difficult to answer what I would have done but I rehearse these situations on the road every day. I also at least bianually do some form of advance riding course. I don't think there was a correct answer for David. His fate was sealed when he decided to ride at those speeds on a public road. This is not critcism of him but of the choice he made to put himself and others in danger on a public road. I see these things every day and as a truckie I put put my own life in danger on at least a weekly basis to save the life of someone who made a decision like that. If is one of the few aspects of my job that I do not enjoy. One day I may write a book about some of the things that I have seen on the road. But then most people wouldn't believe most of it.

And for those who think Police should only shoot to wound. Anyone who is trained in weapons knows and is taught from day 1, Aim at the centre of the seen mass and do not stop shooting until the threat ceases to exist. Of course it happened here. It is still happening here. You are dreaming if you think it never happened. And the economy still has not recovered. You just need to count the number of vessels coming in and out of the wharves to know it happened here. Before the GFC there were 6 vessels tied up alongside the container wharves in Brisbane 24/7 with a queue out in the bay waiting to get in. Now you are lucky to see 3 tied up. Speak to any accountant who works with small business and ask them if the GFC never happened or is not still happening. Cheers Geoff13

Following discussions about religion is a bit like listening to children argue over whose imaginary friend is better.

Google SMIDSY. The most common excuse given in car vs motorcycle incidents. People who use it should be held accountable. As foe pushbikes hogging the lane, they are entitled to by law. I always rode toward the centre of the lane. That left me options when old blind drongo tried to run over me. If you are already riding in the gutter you have no options. A bit like flying really make yourself as safe as possible within what the regulations allow. Cheers Geoff13
