  1. It's pretty difficult for the average person to get any real idea which cars etc are doing good service and which are not.. Sales gives some indication but you have to look into which vehicles are considered a similar model. IF  you cover a wide range your figures look better but it's not a true comparison..  Find out HOW you get treated when a warrantee claim is sought also.. Fixed service Prices often cause the dealers to do a few shortcuts.. IF you ring around the wreckers and find a motor for a fairly late model is about $7000 there IS a problem with them.  Nev

  2. Most old cars drive like what they are, a dolled up version of the road models. I've been involved with most of them and I sure wouldn't like to crash in one. Also they aren't fast don't steer and don't stop and have no air cond  or power steering and handle like a bucket of$#**. Sports car crashes were the most frequent of all types and the most deadly on the track..  Nev

  3. Water can break things Rough sea ops with seaplanes are pretty non-existent except for things like the Walrus. I would still prefer to land on water than cement. Terminal velocity is only about 130 MPH. at low altitudes. Nev
