  1. Lets cut it short until DJT is sworn in. Until then he has done nothing but talk. After he is sworn in, he can actually carry out presidential duties whether we like it or not. Then we will have some facts to debate.
  2. In answer to the question, yes. When I get it right, geometry helps. Area of a circle, circumferences, etc. Also volume of concrete, area of flooring, coverage of paints. The list goes on. Used for making stuff.
  3. I stand corrected. And suitably chastened. May I please sit down now?
  4. So they weren't feeling gay?
  5. These days I have begun paying for some stuff - Donated to Guardian, Wiki, etc. I'm motivated to do so, by seeing the (poor) quality and value represented by MSM subscriptions - which I refuse to pay.
  6. That sounds like an equilateral triangle to me. An easy way to check a square is to make a 3- 4- 5 triangle of scrap wood.
  7. Read up on it before you try it. It is not for everyone. There really isn't always a magic pill for every problem. In some cases there is more to obesity than eating habits. I eat far more calories than my better half, but if she eats any less there is a risk of malnourishment. In her case Ozempic would be a health risk.
  8. Thanks for the warning, Clinton. There is no end to the doomsday possibilities . I rather miss watching 'Doomsday Preppers' on TV. Maybe it wasn't the producer's intention, but I found it entertaining. Sadly, too many people are focussing on their favorite doom risk - when in reality one of the other ones might play out. My answer is to try to be aware of world events and prepared to change lifestyle quickly if needed. The key to happy life is resilience and adaptablity.
  9. Snow white didn't mention the eighth dwarf - he wasn't to her taste.
  10. I thought Happy and Gay were the seventh and eighth dwarfs?
  11. Besides all that, we've been 'on the eve of destruction' for at least 60 years since the song, ... or more. So far, so good.
  12. Settle down OME. No need to get all depressed by the negative possibilities. Sure, we MIGHT be vulnerable. But the real liklihood of doomday in our lifetime is rather low. Remember ....... Grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I must change. And the wisdom to know the difference. Most of your fears listed are 'things I cannot change'.
  13. Self censored - I'll try to stop using the D word
  14. Nailed it! We live in a POST TRUTH WORLD. Can I use that?
  15. They don't just come in pink. It is also available in a dullish pale 'London Blue' for those discerning buyers who need to assert their masculinity.
  16. I still haven't gotten over the Y2K bug.
  17. How about the new Jaguar EV? But I am not comfortable shelling out 200k for a Tata, even if it is a lovely shade of pink. It is mortifying to think that Jag / Rover is now owned by Tata.
  18. Bring back those old maps of Australia that didn't show Tassie at all.
  19. Behind every great man, stands a great woman. Nancy Raygun for president!
  20. I don't know about that. Once pardoned, do you think they can be unpardoned?
  21. As long as they don't invade the Republic of Taswegia, I'm happy to stock up on food and wine and sit back to watch the story unravel.
  22. I just wanted a hangar with a couch, a kitchenette and a ensuite.
  23. Those 'geeks' are usually much younger than me. And are changing the style to suit much younger audiences - who generally have need for constant attention grabbing stuff. Mind-all-over-the-place. Hence a page that to me is disjointed and hard to follow.
  24. Order one for me while you're at it....
  25. Agree! I thought that I would achieve so much when I 'retired'. Unfortunately it now takes me all week to achieve what I used to do in a week end. Even then it takes me the next week to recover.
