The police have declared it "self harm," and it will not be included in the road toll, according to a couple of news sources.

I have no idea what pressures Danny was under, but I can appreciate how it can seem that this is the only way out. I can also understand why some men are driven to murder or murder/suicide when one is nagged and badgered about a situation you cannot control. Not that I would contemplate either - I'm a glass half full person who believes a solution is just around the corner. But go around enough corners and you end up going in circles. The problem is that Danny's action has most likely voided any life insurance he may have had.
