  1. No, they start north of $20k and finish over 30 depending what you want. Best off to buy one already done.
  2. Compared to what? How does the percentage of aboriginals per capita compare to elsewhere in the world? Isn't that called taking responsibility for your own well being?
  3. What did you do, and how did they catch you?
  4. An American Indian goes into the general store and says, "Me need toilet paper." The proprietor replies "I have SuperSoft at $6 for four rolls, or I have No-name at $4 for four rolls." The Indian decides "Me take No-name." Two weeks later, the Indian returns to the store. He says, "Me have name for No-name toilet paper." "What is it?" the owner asks. "John Wayne," says the Indian. "Why John Wayne?" the owner asks. "Because it rough, tough, and take no shit off Indian."
  5. I trust my wife with anyone, but I can see where you're coming from, if I where female, I think I would find a Christian more to my liking also.
  6. Has more to do with the design of the cabin than the sticker What's your point, do farmers need extra cotton wool? Of course if a person makes their living designing these safety systems, of course they are going to pretend it's ok. It doesn't matter to the safety industry that the yellow painted handrails and stickers on the cabins where paid for out of the farm gate milk price. Maybe these kind of things are the reason why there isn't a safety cage around the ladder on the silo, or that we still have to use a post hole digger that was born before the invention of PTO shaft covers. The problem is Col, if we don't find a place to draw a line in the sand where we can stay a little bit competitive with these places, it won't be you but maybe your children or grandchildren who will have to lower there living standards to these levels to survive. So far we have been lucky to have agriculture and then mining to keep us in the manner to which we've become accustomed, but that is not going to last for ever. We've already completely lost a car industry what is next. I suppose it doesn't matter if we employ those formerly productive people as oh&s managers, and auditors to make sure oh&s manager is doing his job. Then everybody still gets a wage and it's all good right?
  7. Milk tankers have a sticker next to the door, with instructions and pictures for a four step process so the driver can get into the cab safely
  8. Safety is good yes, but there has to be some common sense. The relentless pursuit of the impossible goal of zero accidents in the workplace has cost this country so much in efficiency. There was a big job done around here recently, above the door on the smoko room was a big sign "mission zero". No surprise the job was seven months late to completion.
  9. Hmmm a digital detox, wonder what that is. Do you need a rubber glove for that
  10. And the bark didn't come off, the spider KICKED it off.
  11. Yeah, but the thing about the 4wd, is it has the tow bar bolted to something of substance. I remember a panelbeater mate telling me you could pick whether a tow bar was fitted to the xd family of Falcons without walking around the back, there is an obvious stretch mark in the top of the rear quarter panel in line with the rear pillar. There are not many left on the road now, but when you see one next, check it out.
  12. How did that effect your fuel economy?
  13. Summary of Parliamentary Expenditure Paid between 1 January and 30 June 2014
  14. Yeah, not correct http://www.finance.gov.au/sites/default/files/P34_HANSON-YOUNG_Sarah.pdf But: http://www.news.com.au/finance/work/greens-senator-sarah-hanson-young-partied-at-mardi-gras-with-taxpayer-money/story-fn5tas5k-1227472211871
  15. Or we could have invested all our money in an engine that is going to be really good but will take twenty years to develop so we can install it in our fuselage. ( it doesn't have wings because all our efforts went into the engine). Then when we have this engine running we find somebody else has improved battery technology and our engine is good for the museum......
  16. In the last 13 years we've gone from a 22k modem which you could go and have a cuppa while waiting for a page of text to download, then it was a 56k modem, then satellite download, then adsl 1, adsl2, which we have now, wifi , touchscreens etc. etc. I guess you foresaw all that before it happened. My mistake, I thought when they said 2%, they meant the job was 1/50th complete, and it would take 50 times that long to finish....
  17. Yes, but you can't go investing so much money in a project that was taking sooooo long to build (2% complete by the time the were tossed out) when technology is moving so fast in that area. The thing will most likely be outdated before it is even finished. I agree, build dams, water diversion schemes, roads and railways etc. but find a way to get faster internet speeds quicker and cheaper than the NBN.
  18. 96 million Who put the water in each one? I could shade a small reservoir with my balls, much cheaper than that.
  19. ABC radio had an interview on today with a supposedly Syrian guy waiting for his chance to enter illegally, funny thing was, he seemed to already have the English accent down pat....
  20. My daughter says, it's because it has an "I" in front of it
  21. Frank, Why are you not allowed to drive a car or own a gun until you have reached an age where society deems you to be mature enough to be responsible for the consequences of your actions? And yet you are happy to say that the teenagers in our community can choose not to destroy their lives when encouraged to take this stuff at a very young age. You suggest that you are more compassionate than I, that's fine, but I have a different view. My compassion is for those in your last line. Regards Bill P.S I wonder if you remember how powerful peer pressure was when you were a teenager
  22. I wonder if all you bleeding heart do gooders would be still feeling such empathy if it was your child out there prostituting itself to pay for a habit. These guys took a risk, in an effort to get rich quick. They knew the consequences......
  23. Yes, but what you said was : Nothing about rainfall in there.....
