  1. The leaves go claret and then Parchment colour and don't rot down  very quickly. That's the only down side.   Some cedars are nice. and the proper oak if you're patient. Gums cause problems in every country  they've been exported to. Nothing burns hotter. But ALL  trees will burn some even when they are quite green.  Nev

  2. Wattles are a short life tree and get very straggly. Look up Pin Oak. Grows well in Armidale NSW and also  Southern Victoria. No disease and deciduous and good to make furniture from.  Shade in summer, sunny in winter. Prune lower branches and it leaves no scar on the trunk, done properly.    Nev

  3. I've heard of instances where an arse Transplant rejects you.. He's been a perfect R sole already. Right up there in the high scores for killing people. It sort of suites the cool tough guy image.  I think Tony ABots "shirt front" threat had a big effect on him. He's a hard man, OUR Tony.  Nev

  4. Spoken as though they have an army left.  It's NOT a WAR though. Just a "SPECIAL Military Operation" for 3 days. That of Course was a bare faced  Lie to the UN and all and sundry and which forced otherwise reluctant east European Countries to want to join the Hated NATO. Great Judgement Vladimir.  You're a Bl@@dyGenius.   Nev

  5. I wouldn't recommend ANY Eucalypt near a house. I've studied trees all my life and also taught woodwork. Most trees end up being a problem for pipes and foundations and drop branches. One dropped this morning  at about 4 am from an Omeo gum  and the thump of it hitting the ground could be felt through the house floor. I mowed under THAT branch late yesterday afternoon. . Nev.

  6. IF the dealer knows his stuff the fault diagnosis function is critical to positively identify the issue,,but knowledge of the vehicles performance in service is also  part of the picture.  The local Ford dealer  replaced a sensor under warrantee and polished and detailed the "truck"  as well in double quick time even though they'd never seen the vehicle before.

Councils have accountants who decide doing oil changes doesn't affect  what they  get for a trade in. This is a common attitude making purchasing high mileage vehicles a chancy thing from such a source. Fixed price servicing  encourages the dealer cutting corners on things like oil quality . A mate of mine specialises in EXPENSIVE CARS servicing. Some marque dealers use him. He's seen 80,000 Km  Ferrari's that have not had the original oil filter changed because it's very hard to get to. The owners have still been paying for it though and thinking their Pride and Joy (Chick magnet) is being serviced properly.   Nev

  7. My  wife's a Blonde and smarter than me. Just ask her, and what's more she  knows what I'm going to say or do  before I even  start thinking of saying or doing anything..    She's the best I'm likely to get according to all the experts who offer unsolicited  and ill informed opinions on the matter.  Nev
