  1. Yes....and the entire group that they associate with.
  2. Experience??? Couldn't be......he said it flew.
  3. When a follower of an ancient Egyptian religion puts a "repent now" letter in my letterbox, I'll post about that. You still haven't told us which god it is that you think is real.... I think the Church of Satan has some pretty good rules, until they get to the bit about the "Magic". I don't believe in Satan either, they just have more sensible rules. The Nine Satanic Statements by Anton Szandor LaVey The Nine Satanic Statements originally appeared in The Satanic Bible, © 1969 Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence! Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams! Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit! Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates! Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek! Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires! Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all! Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification! Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years! The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth by Anton Szandor LaVey © 1967 Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself. Do not harm little children. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. The Nine Satanic Sins by Anton Szandor LaVey © 1987 Stupidity The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid. Pretentiousness Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn’t applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone’s made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not. Solipsism Can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you naturally give them. They won’t. Instead, Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of “Do unto others as they do unto you.” It’s work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point. Self-deceit It’s in the “Nine Satanic Statements” but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when it’s fun, and with awareness. But then, it’s not self-deceit! Herd Conformity That’s obvious from a Satanic stance. It’s all right to conform to a person’s wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many. Lack of Perspective Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraints—know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies Be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality it’s something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society. Counterproductive Pride That first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you’ve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I’m sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it. Lack of Aesthetics This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. It’s not what’s supposed to be pleasing—it’s what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of one’s own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.
  4. I just got this in my mailbox, unsigned and unaddressed..... President Obama will announce to the world in early October "Peace and Safety" then the Rapture happens, Word war erupts & the Biblical 7 year Apocolypse starts. 1st Thessoloians 5:3 MOCK NOW & REGRET LATER. YOU HAVE BEEN DULY WARNED. It goes on for a whole page about Guido Westerwelle being the biblical antichrist and UN HQ being the whore of revelation, then tell about the plagues and how I should repent. It's all sort of funny and disturbing at the same time. Oh and apparently the number of the beast is 667, I always thought that was the neighbour of the beast. Bugger, that means my 666 number plate (issued by chance) has no meaning.
  5. That's ok, I already do..... Hang on, you were the one saying only atheists take the bible seriously. Instead of speaking in riddles, why don't you tell us which god it is that you believe in? Yes, we know that people have worshipped god/s in many forms throughout the short history of human life on this planet, but that doesn't make it any more real. It has generally just been the human way to explain what they thought was unexplainable at the time, and in doing so, makes them feel more important and comforted that they're "special".
  6. If that's the case, you haven't met too many fundamentalist Christians then....Actually, there are heaps of religious people out there that believe that their own particular version of god given scripture is absolutely infallible, not just Christians, some of which are responsible for a lot of crap going down in the world today.
  7. If you rearrange the letters in the words Faith and Religion, you can make "Microwave." No, don't test it or question it, just believe me.
  8. I think we've had this discussion before....I'm not against it, I'm all for it, but our technology needs to be better before we start forcing it on society. That said, regardless of where our power comes from, we are still going to need mining/quarrying, maybe less, as we can come up with more efficient recycling process, but we will still need it.
  9. Yes but they do touch on just how energy intensive battery manufacture is...
  10. Stanford scientists calculate the carbon footprint of grid-scale battery technologies They are well know to be leaned a long way left....in any case I quoted something from them once before on here and was told that that they aren't reliable:oh yeah:.(by some lefties) and looking a wiki about them it's not hard to see why. Yeah, but they make decent cars...
  11. Quoting the "Australia Institute" does not count as reputable...Diesel subsidies are well known and available to all who use petroleum fuel for production and not on roads, so you can discount that one straight up. I agree that NG is a good thing...but tell that to the greens around here. They don't want coal, they don't want gas, they like solar, but don't want the mines and associated stuff required to manufacture it and the batteries need to make it even slightly viable. They don't seem to get that someone has to use energy to make this stuff, and lots of it.
  12. How about quoting some reliable facts and figures from some reputable sources......
  13. That's a bit of a wild assumption that these people even use their mirror for anything other than makeup.....
  14. The "lawfare" tactics being used by the greens here ought to be considered criminal. The hypocrisy and irony of these people using all the modern facilities provided by mining and the petroleum industry to shut down the industry that provides it, is just disturbing.
  15. Not to mention all those nasty chemicals/minerals used in the manufacture of batteries and all the plastics (petroleum products) encasing almost everything we use. I love the idea of renewables, but it's not renewable just because someone else made the battery and solar panel you're using.
  16. How tempting that would be, just to pull a little further right and accelerate.....
  17. Or if the govt just stayed within their means perhaps...legal is legal.
  18. I don't know enough about it to go any further, just quoting what I read. I also read that it may have consequences for other companies as well, including some Australian ones.
  19. "Tax" is whatever the rules say it is, not what you think is fair. Tax is usually one of the biggest expenses. Given that a bunch of bureaucrats are in charge of spending it, it's sensible to minimize the bill.
  20. Sounds like the simplest solution then would be not set up a company based in the EU, if that is the case.
  21. One of the more intellectually lacking army trainees did a similar thing with a 4 litre can of red paint the other day, having just loosened the lid, he then picked it up and turned it sideways to read the instructions on the can.
  22. Did you read the article properly? Apple had a deal with Ireland in regard to tax, the EU then decided that Apple should pay more. Suppose you payed your tax as required by the country your business is in, then someone else decides you should pay more, then hits you with a bill.
  23. That's not irony....once you accept someone else's money, there should be some measures in place to ensure that money was spent on what it was meant for. If the govt wasn't interfering, and there was personal responsibility, they might not be getting that money anyway. The schemes have been effective when implemented wholly, but have failed miserably when the left got involved and said that you have to give them cash as well.
  24. The card idea has been a success, but only where almost all the welfare received was managed by the card, where ever they have used the concept of partial welfare by card, it has failed. The Lefties love to tell us that we have no right to control how other's welfare is spent, and that the card system has been a failure, but given that it is a benefit, not pay, paid by taxpayers, I think that maybe the taxpayers have a right to see that money spent on what it was meant for.
  25. I get what you are saying there, but what I am suggesting is that if we had a more responsible govt and the highest tax you paid was 30%.....that's what I mean by tax cut. In any case sometimes all is good , then a change in personal circumstances leaves you wondering how much better off you would be if someone else wasn't spending your money. People always say "it's only money " but you had to trade a lot of your life for it. People who take your hard earned cash, are taking part of your life, that's fine if you want to give it to them, but it's not otherwise.
