My uncle was a policeman and I remember him as a kind and gentle man. I don’t think he was much promoted.

When the woman went missing we were in our caravan and out of phone coverage. I went to some trouble to get onto the police website to say that I know the area well and I would be looking along Skirkas Road Buninyong where there are hidden mine shafts. This morning I read that the police focus is now in Skirkas road! I don’t understand how they can have the perp but not the body. I guess they don’t use phone books any more.

There are separate prohibitions on denigrating shortness and blackness. Also on ordering people to do anything unless you are in the military. Best to stay at home.

It also varies a lot year to year. The mining industry deaths include vehicle accidents anywhere on the lease including access roads. You might have only four or five total fatalities across Australia one year and a dozen the next.

We did a risk analysis for one mine site once, the biggest risk was an aircraft accident for the commute crew. Measured as likelihood and severity.
