flying dog
Hi folks. I am doing some puzzles to keep the old cogs turning. I am stuck on this one: Pyramid of squares. 1,2,3,4 numbers. Line 1: 168 Lin3 2: 12, 14 Line 3: ?, 2, ? Line 4: ? 2, 1, ? Now, ? can only be 0 to 9. I think I see the pattern: 168 1 2* 14 = 168. But am stuck on the missing 4 numbers. Anyone? FlyingVizsla
I am stuck on this one: Pyramid of squares. 1,2,3,4 numbers. Line 1: 168 Lin3 2: 12, 14 Line 3: ?, 2, ? Line 4: ? 2, 1, ? Looks like the object is to multiply the bottom line numbers to make the next line etc Working from the top, as you correctly stated 168 = 12 x 14 Line 3 then, 12 must be ? x 2 and 14 = 2 x ? (answers 6 & 7) Line 4 ..... 6=? x 2 (answer 3), 2=2 x ? (answer 1), 7=1 x ? (answer 7) 168 12 14 6 2 7 3 2 1
