    For free CAD I use DraftSight and for 3d Sketchup. Draftsight requires free annual renewal and you end up with a lot of email offers to upgrade but it does all I want. Draftsight is a bit like stepping back to office 2003 as it has all small icons and not the big ribbons that AutoCAD/MS Office has adopted.
