  1. It’s not just the corruption that frustrates me. Here, religion and superstitions control everything. It’s like everything’s always ‘fine’ even when it’s obviously not. Being selfish is just normal because the laws don’t actually do anything. Driving on the wrong side? Fine. Throwing trash in the river? Fine. Riding on the sidewalk? Also fine. abusive families somehow get excused because of religion.
  2. This one is really interesting, Thank you!
  3. I am from Thailand. There is corruption in every countries, but we have vote manipulation, building project that never finish, the rich releasing invasive species then blamed people and got away with it. I used to have high hope as a child but its gone now. I don’t have a job yet still using my family’s money as I’m still studying my bachelor degree. once I finished that, I’ll study maybe horticulture or environmental science. If anyone here worry about me spreading any religion then no, I’m non-religious.
  4. Hi everyone, I’m from Southeast Asia, and I’ve been thinking about moving to study my master degree and also immigrating to Australia. I want to be honest, my home country has become deeply corrupt, and it feels like there’s no future here anymore. I apologise if it seems selfish to consider moving when I know Australia is dealing with serious issues too, like the housing crisis. I wanted to ask as Southeast Asian immigrant, would I be accepted in Australia? Would someone like me be accepted? Thanks
