Just as everybody downloads the latest patches and software versions, they have trained their brains to have to have the "brightest flashlight" so the scum only need to name their spyware to make it appealing and people give the installer ridiculous access permission without question. It is only a torch, it doesn't need permission to access your whole life and access the internet connection to phone home.

No, the last virus I got was back in the 80's and it was called the stoned virus...your pc came up with "your pc is stoned" at the c prompt. That was back before windows and the internet

I am all for preserving culture and contact with country, but just as I have lost my French, without use and practice, learning a near extinct language is just more feel good tokenism. Better to get on and pass on the spoken history in the language of the land before it, like the traditional language is lost for all time.

Yes, I agree. Perhaps one of the many Aboriginal languages could be studied and learned as well? That may improve relationships with the First Inhabitants.

You are meant to like it now, they haven't started killing it off with updates yet. I should have turned off updates in Windows 7 when Windows 10 was released, my error. You won't have the option to turn off the updates in the 10.

Hate to spoil your fun FT but I bought top shelf android handsets outright,to use with Boost prepaid bottom tier sims. I have had iphone already, been there.

The only thing I do with an apple is eat it. I avoid anything that locks you in & then over time spits you out. And what about all those different charge connectors for different models. Nope Android for me where I can get to the root directory, get rid of the bloatware ( & warranty as well usually) but run it the way I want.

Warranty is not long enough to cause much inconvenience anyway. In 10 and a half months I am going to get very keen on a heart transplant for my Telstra supplied Android phones.

Like Andy I had also heard that Windows 10 was moving to annual subscription, so your free upgrade for one year will just be a baited hook. Like Sue I lost a nearly new expensive Canon printer in my haste to upgrade to Windows XP. I took a different line on that though, have never bought another Canon product, they made the choice to hang their customers out to dry for want of a driver.
