  1. The RC is a furphy, everyone knows that. If the cops, the crime commission and all the other existing law enforcement out there can't investigate actual crime, what the hell is the use of them? Abbott started the TURC solely to dish dirt on the Labor party by association and his plan is obviously working in your particular case.

By this logic, given that the RC into institutional responses to child abuse have found far worse criminal activity in some religious organisations, and Tony Abbott, Cory Bernardi and Kevin Andrews are religious nutters, they're criminal too. Fair comparison? Yeah, I agree, it's equally as stupid a proposition.

And even if you think the ALP is tainted by union involvement, why are you having a crack at the Greens? They are a separate party, you do know that, right?

    Special kind of stupid. Hmmm.

Well the fact that all those other departments haven't even got close to the scumbags that the RC has in a fairly short time says a lot about those departments , the RC was actually called for by a few union reps who happened to be disgusted by the rorting within the organisation , and to date I don't think there's been any LNP members giving evidence against union thieves,,,,only other union thieves in an act of self destruction,,,,,,but again it's all justified by what someone else does or doesn't do ,,,,,if something is a crime then it's a crime ,it doesn't need to be compared to something completely unrelated.

And it's not guilt by association at all,,,if these people are guilty of a crime then they are guilty ,,,end of story !

As for being "stupid" surely anyone who's a union member would welcome their union being stopped from ripping them off ,,cause if they're happy to be screwed over by their alleged advocates then that is "a special kind of stupid"

  2. Yep, it's far more stupid to vote for the "scum bosses" of the unions than vote for a party that's bought and paid for by big business. If you read my post properly MM I was calling for balance by saying both major parties are owned by business of one sort or another. The only way you get away from this is to ban lobbying and remove all political donations. The Koch brothers (owners of Coca-Cola) are pumping $1 BILLION into campaigning for the Republican party in the US. Do you really think businesses make an investment like that without expecting something in return?

In 2013/14 Labor received $78m in donations. Libs received $125m and Nats $12m, so LNP total $137m. Do you reckon that extra $59m came from chook raffles at the local RSL, or businesses backing the horse they think will lower their tax obligations (or continue to ignore the current loopholes)?

Again, its rationalising crime , so the LNP gets more money, and yes they will have to owe favours for that money ,,,,but if the only way the labor party can raise funds is by extortion ,theft and ripping off union members does that not say something for what they stand for,,,,Shorten screws the workers while extorting the same company out of hundreds of thousands of dollars ,,,,,and the best defence is the LNP gets money to !

Union bosses steal from the members for house renos ,hookers ,holidays ,parties and the it's all because the LNP has got more donations ,,,,I mean there's union scum getting caught constantly for stealing from the very people they claim to represent ,,,,and it's all because the LNP has better donations!

Even the royal commission is a terrible witch hunt ( the fact that it was instigated by a couple of union reps seems irrelevant ) because when you put a dollar value on the crimes it's less than the RC costs to run,,,,since when has that been a decider in stopping crimes!

Like I said ALP/green voters are a special kind of stupid!

  3. Sorry Dazza, how does Labor fit into that particular story?

Yes there are bad union leaders and corrupt developers, and corrupt politicians on both sides. But if they're going to have a RC into trade unions, I reckon it's only fair they have one into the tax avoidance practices of big corporations. After all, the unions may own Labor, but big business owns the LNP. And I reckon the sums involved would make that mega mansion look like pocket change.

It's always interesting that labor voters will defend criminals by trying to divert attention, union members /ALP voters must be a special kind of stupid , they get screwed royally by the scum bosses and frantically defend them

  4. ProgeCad 2014 Professional. $545 and identical in all respects to AutoCad. All file sharing including every command is a carbon copy.

You would not know they are two different programs if they were running on two computers side by side.

I'll look into that ,thanks, I'll have go through all the suggestions and see what will work for me, I mostly use it for getting stuff NC cut so if a freebie will work , on the other hand I'm pretty used to autocad so a copy would make the learning curve pretty easy.

    Thanks everyone

  5. I use Spaceclaim its about 3KMuch easier to use than Autocad

I've had a lot of people tell me autocad is hard to use and a bit clunky, it's all I've every used, kinda looking forward to learning a new one and see for myself

  6. Hi all, I've been using Auto Cad for a few years but only had a student copy after doing the course at a tafe, the license has now expired and I need to look at getting another program . I mostly do 2D but the 3d looks pretty cool , I see some of the guys here are doing some pretty nice 3d modelling .

So the question is what program? I'm open to suggestions, as I said I mostly need it for 2d , and I need it to be reasonably priced, Auto Cad is around $8-9k for the basic package, as I'm not a drafting business ,I just do my own stuff in house,

    Cheers Matty

  7. I'm a Queenslander, but I kinda hope NSW does better this year , I mean, there's kids starting high school in NSW who've never seen a blues Origen win, that's kinda sad I reckon

  8. I'm definatly not a sparky, but, I don't recall hundreds of deaths from bad leads , I can't actually recall ever seeing anyone lit up after 35 years in workshops and building sites, I'm sure it's happened but it just never seemed to be a huge problem. Also I may be wrong , but doesn't an RCD stop you getting a hit ? When your in business it gets pretty tiring when the "test n tag" people are followed by the fire extinguisher guy ,followed by the first aid box people , then the OH&S scammers do the rounds, then some goose from the Guvmint decides to have a visit !I had zero claims( or serious accidents) for ten years but my premiums quadrupled in that time , on top of paying for someone else retirement, but of course no one is paying for mine, for me now I'll will never employ another person, ever , it just isn't worth the hassle , I do however take my hat off to those that can make money employing people .

Being in business and employing is bloody hard work, I'm still self employed but with no employees all the money grabbers can get stuffed,

    Matty

I'd just like to add, if your business is one of the ones I had a go at please don't take it personal, it was meant to be a general whinge at lots of stuff,,,,spacer.png

  10. SEEK has heaps of jobs , not all of them are sweet $100k plus gigs , but there is plenty of work for a reasonably dexterous person, although it has become increasingly difficult to employ people , I've gone from employing five to just working alone, and making money again,

  11. If you honestly believe that Abbott has single handedly destroyed Australian manufacturing in just six months , you really are better off getting the dole, or maybe go for a union boss job ,(same skill set as a dole bludger) the fringe benefits are awesome

  12. I simply cannot fathom any Australian citizen taking the side of a country that's renowned for corruption ,along with believing the accounts of people who've had their attempt at illegal entry thwarted, it's just hard to believe!

Who cares what the Indonesian politicians have to say, apart from the RAN messing with their kickbacks, isn't our sovereignty just as important as theirs?

  13. Okay so time for a recap,

If you love your country ,your a bigot

If you think Islam is a dangerous cult ,your a racist,,,,,

If you believe we should have secure borders,,,,your a bigot and a racist

If you think the ALP is a band of thieves, thugs and incompetents ,,,well you've just not been looking at it the right way LOL

If you want to seem compassionate ,open the borders

If you want to give illegal immigrants a fair go , supporting a criminal activity is okay,

If a few hundred people drown at sea ,that's okay, cause we're being compassionate here,

If you think another countries sovereignty is more important than your own ,,,,well that's cause your a compassionate ,non racist, non bigot ,criminal supporting UN poster boy!

And, as it seems, in the absence of an intelligent debate ,posting cartoons is a good fall back,

  14. I see that the definition of human rights abuse = different things depending on who does it or who actually sees it (If a tree falls in a forest and nobody sees it did it happen?) It is the "ALP supporting a criminal activity" on the part of the labor govt but it is "a minor setback the government has in stopping these bastards", if done by phoney Tony. Yeah right! I get it (not). Definately NOT a princess, Don

The ALP by their failed policy allowed an activity that killed people, how is that even close to drifting into Indonesian waters( who cares) , so far I don't see how doing what you said you would do as being phoney, they're still politicians but I can't see how they've been false, unless you like to see them on the telly every five minutes harping about how good they are ( six years of that was plenty)

  15. Talk about playing the victim card, if people are calling you a racist and bigot after you express a racist and bigotted view. You are a Racist. Its not rocket science, why can't you put 2 and 2 together? You're obviously not the champion of human rights you think you are.

I suggest you take the time to read the definition of treason.

Not playing the victim at all, but when some princess gets all upset cause someone got labelled un Australian it's time for a bit of reality, truth is I couldn't care less what I get called, as long as the the sensitive watermelons can hack it too , and again ,for the less intelligent , Islam is a religion not a race, and if having an opinion about people coming here illegally makes me a bigot then fine, but what am I being bigoted against? People smugglers , corrupt Asian governments, if I get labelled for be "anti " those groups ,I'll live with that, my question is for you ft , you love posting little cartoons, and pithy one liners , how about it, are you quite happy that the previous government made it easy for the illegal operations in Indonesia to prosper? Are you happy with the loss of life cause by the ALP policy ? Is it all honky dory that the Indonesian government treats us like crap? Simple questions , just a yes or no will do, then we can move forward once we know who your allegiance is to!

  16. So if Indonesian warships started crossing into Australian territorial waters with no permission from Australian authorities, you wouldn't have a problem with that?

I hear Mad Dog admitted that the Navy has "accidentally" entered Indonesia's territorial waters... several times. I'd have thought those big warships would have GPS.

Smoke and mirrors again, the only relevance here is that , as a country, we seem to be apologising to a country that has consistently disregarded our borders for years, otherwise , I don't know the operational procedures for battleships nor do I care, this thread is about Indonesia and the ALP supporting a criminal activity and how ,it seems, every minor setback the government has in stopping these bastards from continuing is suddenly a big victory for the so called "human rights" brigade, I wonder how the families of those dead at sea feel about the way they're fleeced, loaded, and dumped by the Indonesian supported people smuggling business only to have the watermelon crew crying about minor details , if the ALP/green circus truly cared about the people rather than scoring political points they would've done more to stop the smugglers rather than create an environment conducive to their trade

I applaud any government for trying to stop this stuff from happening, the only reason the ALP dropped the ball was to show how "humane" they were in comparison to the "evil" Howard government, well, they left behind a trail of death and destruction ,shattered lives ,and political damage between two countries, so if anyone wants to defend that ,you should expect to cop a bit of flak !

  18. Metalman: I am just saying what we have all known all along, you can't do it legally. Neither pro or anti Indonesia. You'd be pooing in your cornflakes if the ALP had done something so stupid.

Not at all, I've voted both ways over the years , but after the last six years of passion fingers Gillard n Rudd , I wouldn't want to endure any more, as for legal, there's a lot of hot air from the UN, but they've yet to say what it is we are doing illegal, as for it being stupid, having hundreds die at sea is pretty damn stupid I'd say , and having the Indonesians squawking about their sovereignty while they treat our country like crap should make your blood boil, but as it appears you'd rather post witty little comics

  19. I strongly object to language that implies that people who hold contrary views to some posters on this thread are somehow not Australian. Keep the language clean and rely on force of argument and not slimy, tainted insults if you wish to be regarded as an equal. Don

Really mate, I've been called everything from a bigot to a racist, a moron who has been tricked into voting a certain way, I've been accused of putting my kids in danger because I have the guts to say if something is wrong, so if .in my opinion, I think someone is verging on traitorous to their own country by taking pleasure in some shitty corrupt Islamic state treating us , as Australians , like we are a bunch of gullible fools, then I will say it without apology,

  20. What I find astounding is that a minority of "Australians " appear more concerned with Indonesia's sovereignty than Australia's ,they cry out how in humane it all is , but applaud the government that allowed hundreds to die at sea, they find great pleasure in problems with destroying the people smuggling racket, do you actually want a criminal trade in people to prosper, it's a good thing to stop the illegal entry into our country, and at the same time dismantle a disgusting industry that has had a free run for the last six years. But from some opinions if it was the ALP doing it ,fine, cause they were awesome! But heaven forbid the other lot actually doing what they said they would, yeh, I know it's a bit different to what we've been getting, but it could be a good thing,,,,actually doing something other than press conferences !

  21. NO MM...You are really not getting it. "They" are people...flesh and blood...women...children...men...just like you.

And, just like me and the thousands who come to our country , they shouldn't make their first act here breaking the laws here!

As for women and children the beloved ALP killed heaps of them, maybe you ,the ABC and the greens/ALP should be supporting the efforts to shut down this disgusting trade in people instead of bleating about press releases!
